Fundraising at SKSCA Vocal Jazz Queen Live at Jazz Alley
12th Sister City Jazz Day with Yuko Kobayashi, Kobe's 2011 Jazz Vocal Queen, will take place at Jazz Alley on Monday, August 22, 2011. Donations will be collected for Japan Relief with Peace Winds America at the event!

Junglecity.com/Ganbaro Japan! will have a table with Seattle-Kobe Sister City Association at the Egyptian Theater on Capitol Hill for the showings of Norwegian Wood at SIFF.

Sushi Chef Dream Team
We participated in this one-time only event held at Bell Harbor International Conference Center on May 5th, 2011, as an in-kind sponsor as well as a committee member. It was a huge success! We had over 350 attendees and raised over $85,000. (The final tally will be available in several days.)

About two weeks ago, we asked you to dine at participating Japanese restaurants between March 28th and April 3rd because they were donating 10% of sales for Japan relief through Peace Winds America.
During the week, we kept hearing from participating restaurants that many regulars and new customers were coming in to help with their efforts. Many diners thanked the participating restaurants for doing what they were doing and offered sincerest condolences and prayers to Japan. Some diners even donated additional cash for this project.

We raised $22,160.98!
That is incredibly amazing. Thank you everyone for helping spread the word and participating in our first project!
